Browsers can't decode 4K (it's almost always HEVC), so 4K plays through a heavy live transcode that often stutters. Cap playback at 1080p for smooth direct play, or allow 4K if this computer is powerful. (This browser only — the TV app always plays 4K natively.)

Triboon sizes connections from your provider, this server's network, and how many people watch at once. Speeds are Mbps. Auto grows a slow stream and gives extra sockets away from a well-buffered one. Custom always splits evenly.
Off until you turn it on. Opening a movie then saves the start, the end, and where you left off, up to this size, in the appdata folder. The spot you stopped stays even when the folder fills. The next seconds of the movie still live in memory. Example: you stop at 40:00 and come back tomorrow. Play reads the disk copy instead of asking Usenet again.
Auto uses only as many sockets as the movie needs for the current Usenet speed. Slow evening sockets add more; a full home download pipe does not. Cache stays inside about 20% of this box's RAM.
Auto sets no hard limit — ranking simply prefers sizes that start fast, while every release stays in Sources. Manual hides releases above your GB caps from Sources and auto-play entirely. Smaller caps mean lower bitrate per stream, so more simultaneous viewers fit.
A 4K re-encode on the CPU makes the picture stutter and the server go slow. Leave this on unless this box has a working GPU encoder.
Change the owner password. This signs out old sessions immediately.
Protect the owner account with an authenticator app. Existing users are unchanged.
Location is off by default. If enabled, Triboon sends a remote viewer's public IP to
ipwho.is and shows only the returned city/country to the admin. The raw IP is not
persisted or returned; the in-memory seven-day cache is keyed by a one-way digest.
Add one or more NNTP providers — pieces are spread across the accounts with room, and a missing or damaged piece fails over to the next one. Mark an account Backup only to keep it out of the rotation until every other account fails. Each has its own connection limit. Credentials are encrypted at rest and never sent to clients.
Newznab-compatible indexers — searches fan out to all of them in parallel and results are merged.
Library folders are re-checked automatically for new movies and episodes. Add a folder from Add library in the menu. Known items keep their cached TMDB match, so a no-change pass is one disk walk. Scan now and refresh metadata live in each library's Edit panel.
Show the Audiobooks section. Turn it off to hide it for everyone, or share it with only specific users.

Official Jellyfin apps can sign in with a Triboon name and play movies and shows from this server. They keep Jellyfin’s own screens. Leave this off until you want that.
These change the Jellyfin app on a TV or phone. Triboon itself stays the same.

Server-side TMDB key — clients browse through the server proxy and never see it.
Releases are ranked for instant streaming. These boxes show Triboon's defaults — edit them, then Save. Delete the CAM line if you want theater rips in Sources. Reset puts our list back.
Wyzie Subs — API key required; the current free tier includes 1,000 requests per day. Paste your Wyzie key here; Triboon keeps it encrypted server-side and caches results per title.
OpenSubtitles — adds hash-exact matching (perfectly-synced subs for the exact file you stream). Needs ALL THREE: the free API key (opensubtitles.com → account → API consumers) finds subtitles; your username + password are required to download them (per-account quota). Stored encrypted server-side.
Which source runs, and which wins when results are comparable. Exact-match signals (file hash, exact release, right episode) always beat the preference.
Lets every user link their own Trakt account (scrobbling + watchlist sync). Create a free API app using Trakt's Create an App guide, then paste its id + secret. When the form asks for a Redirect URI, use this (click to copy):
Live TV loads from the server cache first. The server refreshes guides on a schedule and keeps stale data available while a refresh runs.
M3U or Xtream for the whole house. Everyone sees these channels, logos, and the guide. Personal playlists stay under Live TV above.
